Kids Programs

Nowadays, our children are less and less physically active and prefer more and more computers and phones instead of healthy physical activity. Socializing is becoming challenging and sedentary living is taking over. So why not let our little ones try a wonderful sport with countless benefits? Or maybe just simply get them hooked on an activity they can carry with them throughout their lives?

Tennis for children’s growth and future is a fun and challenging activity that helps them develop their motor skills, hand-eye coordination and physical endurance.

In addition, tennis promotes socialization and rule learning, encouraging children to work as a team and respect their opponents. One of the main features is the use of equipment and courts adapted to their size. The rackets are lighter and shorter, while the balls are larger and softer, so that our little athletes can hit them easily. The courts are also smaller and divided into colored zones based on age and level of play.

During lessons, instructors use fun and engaging teaching methods such as games and themed activities to make learning tennis an enjoyable experience for our little ones to enjoy while learning the basics of the game.

Objective – lessons focus on learning basic techniques, such as racket grip, forehand stroke, backhand stroke, and serve. Instructors encourage children to explore their own style of play and develop their creativity in hitting the ball. In addition to the technical aspect, tennis also promotes the development of cognitive and social skills. During matches and team drills, they will learn how to make quick decisions, solve problems, and communicate with fellow players. This helps improve their problem solving skills, ability to work as a team and manage emotions.

Physical and mental health benefits

Tennis also offers numerous health benefits. During lessons, children engage in physical activity that helps them develop cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and flexibility. In addition, tennis promotes coordination and balance, improving posture and body awareness. It is also an ideal sport to help develop a positive mindset and good self-esteem. Through achieving goals and overcoming challenges, they will learn to believe in themselves and develop a winner mindset.

Competition, success-failure and the incentive to improve themselves

The opportunity to participate in competitions and tournaments allows children to practice their skills learned in class and measure themselves against other players their age. Learning how to deal with success and defeat are the foundations to carry over into daily life as well. Competitions promote healthy competition, self-discipline, stress management and the incentive to improve themselves by comparing themselves to other players. Moreover, it is an activity that can be practiced year-round, both indoors and outdoors.
In conclusion, tennis is a fun and challenging activity that offers numerous benefits for the physical, mental and social development of our young athletes. Through tennis lessons, children learn the basics of the game, develop motor and cognitive skills, improve health, and gain a positive mindset. So if you want your little ones to have fun, learn and grow, tennis is definitely an excellent choice!

Red Level
This level is suitable for children as young as 3 years old. Through play and fun, it introduces little ones to all the basics of being on the court. They learn the rules of the game, scoring, bouncing the ball, basic strokes such as forehand and backhand, and become familiar with coordination and movement. Children are also explained the rules of behavior on the court and how to be together with other children. At the red level boys and girls can play together since there is no particular difference in physique, but there can be children of different ages in the groups, but at the same level. Special attention is given to safety so that there are no accidents on the court. At this age parents can also help their children’s progress with the help of exercises given by the coach by playing games at home with the appropriate balls, much like a small task to be performed in free time.
Orange Level
The orange level is suitable for children ages 6 to 10. All the basic tennis strokes such as forehand, backhand, serve, volley and smash are learned. Tennis is consolidated by putting special emphasis on maintaining the exchange and trying to make as few free errors as possible. You will also learn to direct balls into corners and try to play “deep”. Lots of specific games with points will implement the training by putting the focus on the themes that will have been learned during class. 2-3 weekly workouts are indicated for excellent player development that will consequently take the game to a higher level in less time. At this stage, it is essential to maintain focus and enjoyment to get the little tennis player excited about this wonderful sport. Participation in orange level tournaments are recommended for development and to introduce the child to healthy competition.
Green Level
The green level is ideal for children between 8 and 12 years old. It teaches more complex playing tactics to direct the young athlete to approach junior tennis. All types of strokes are taught for a complete game and skills and patterns are refined to begin playing licensed junior level tournaments. At this level you also form a training plan and structure very similar to the junior program clearly directed toward competing with other players of the same age. Specific athletic workouts will be introduced to improve the player’s qualities of movement, speed and reaction. Ideally the player should come to 3 weekly workouts and implement his game through organized practice games also independently and participate in the interclub championship.
